After a great evening with the Love family we were greeted on Saturday morning by the return of Rachel from Edinburgh. This is the view from Rachel's bedroom window.
Elvin planned to take us to County Antrim on the eastern coast of rugged Ireland to see the
Giant's Causeway. He entertained us the whole way with witty and funny storytelling- a real art and joy to listen to with an Irish accent.
We looked out to the Atlantic- huge, dark and fierce.
The Port Rush village along the way was beautiful. Elvin made me laugh when we went for a walk and he showed me the diving board that he used to dive from that wasn't there any more that had been taken away by the Health and Safety people.
We stopped to see the Scaries- not sure if written correctly.
Then on to The Giant's Causeway itself- so windy on the walk there that we had to link arms to stop being blown over.
A kind lady offered to take our photos as we braced against the wind.
These magnificent structures grow tall from the sea in stacks that look like they were placed there by people long ago.
Amy bundles up to keep warm.
On the way home we stopped for a quick photo opp at the Dunluce abandoned castle on the edge of the cliff.

It must be very moving to be visiting your roots.
As always the photos are great.
