Amy in France

Amy recently returned from a holiday in France. How very cool is that. France would be one of the places that I would like to visit, to sit by the Seine, drink coffee with hot bread, listen to the French accents and oogle the French fashions. I hope that is what Amy got to do!

Amy in Croatia

Amy is just back from an idyllic looking couple of weeks in Croatia.
A group of them chartered a boat and used it as a base for operations.
Makes our cold, wet weather seem all the more miserable.
Her photos were not at all what I imagined Croatia to be.

Amy Returns from a long weekend in Stockholm

Amy has just returned from a long Easter weekend in Stockholm.
I reckon I would like the place- European and beautifully picturesque.
Someone is very creative with these giraffe cranes.
A little Viking humour!

Amy's Holiday in Nelson

Amy and I had a fabulous time while she was in Nelson- home from the UK for a month. We slept in, had a massage, went shopping & to the movies, ate out and tried to fit in a year's worth of catching up.
Amy took photos of the Nelson haven- it really is stunning. Before coming to Nelson she had visited Dunedin to see Danny. It was good to see them both together in a Facebook photo.
Amy was able to visit with Pop and his new bride, Helen, when she visited Taihape.
Amy and I caught one last photo together as she left Nelson to head back to the UK.

Amy's Visit

Amy arrived for a few days after a month spent enjoying Thailand. She gave me some of her photos to share.
She did an 'Intrepid Journey' into the hills around Chang Mai.
She got to experience some of the day-to-day life while she was there.
The sunsets were stunning.

It looks like a tropical Pacific island.

She made lots of new friends.
It is great to have her here. We buried Mum today in the plot at the Marsden Valley cemetery with Dad. I miss her every day.

Amy in Autumn

Amy and some of her friends have been to Oxford playing in the autumn leaves. I borrowed the photos from her friend's Facebook album. There is a great video there as well but I can't seem to be able to copy it.

Amy in Greece

Amy has just come back to the UK from nine days spent discovering Greece.
She and her mates hired scooters and went exploring.
Looks like a good time was had by all.
New Zealand could do with a little of the Greek sunshine.
This is the view from the hotel they were staying in.

She discovered the island of Delos which is quizzilion years old.

Snowy London

You have probably heard of the snow falls in England this past week. Amy posted these photos of her street looking all white and snowy.
Compare back to the photos I took of Rosedew Road when I first arrived.
Lots of snow means snowmen all over the place. I was hoping for a white Christmas when I was in the UK- I guess it just arrived a bit late.
