I wanted to go over to Mapua today to have a look at their fair. For a change we decided to have lunch at high tide at the place and the Mapua Leisure Park. It was great. The cafe is right on the water front, the sky was a rich blue and the food was reasonably priced and really tasty! You couldn't beat the view from the restaurant table looking north towards the North Island in the distance.
Also we stopped for a photo opp at the new sculpture of the first immigrants to Nelson. Mum's great-great grandmother was the first European girl to be born in Nelson so I thought it was a good idea to take a photo of us at the sculpture.
