I got a text today from my friend, Sherryn, which asked, "Are you still alive?"Yes we are and as proof here is a photo taken by cousin, Chris, last weekend. I am flat out with reports, interviews and school camp coming up 4/5 December.

On one of our adventures we took a picnic to Isel House- it is lovely because you can drive through the grounds and Mum doesn't have to get out of the car.
For the last week or so a graceful white swan has taken up residence on the river- no idea where he came from but he is lovely as he swans about looking pretty.
My self imposed exile is nearly complete. Hopefully I will return to the mainstream with renewed superpowers!
Some weeks ago you might remember my Xray that showed my abcessed tooth. Today I had the major part of my root canal finished. Jeanette, my dentist, was very proud of her handiwork so got her to email the finished X-ray before she cut the top off the implants. The whole procedure was not nearly as awful as I remember it being twenty years ago when I had my last root canal done- the technology has improved thank goodness.

It is 1MB so give it a minute if you are on dial up. To see the movie click and hold the mouse and move to the left or right.
Hopefully the Berzins won't mind but this photo was in an upload Mandy had in her camera and we don't get many photos from across the ditch.
Also this photo of the Blenheim Moores out for lunch!
I also liked this photo of Mandy by the waterfront in Havelock.
Mike brought his mountain bike with him and we dropped him off out Richmond way for him to find his own way home following the coastline as we girls went shopping for nice things.
This is what happens when you wear a bike helmet- helmet hair!
Mandy and Mike also went for a ride following the Maitai River down to our place. Mandy took my bike and it was pretty cold and dark when they got home- we were about to send out search parties!
Mum was able to be with us for much of the time and enjoyed being part of everything.
I don't usually like being in front of the camera but this photo wasn't too grotesque so thought I would publish it!
I tried to cook healthy meals when not going out for tea. Alan had a whole day off as well so we had three branches of Nana's family all in the same room at the same time.
We had lunch over on the wharf at Mapua and Hamish, the kotuku, was there keeping an eye on the tide. It was wonderful to get so close to such a rare and beautiful wild creature. It was a real treat.
We stopped for a couple of spring lamb photos as well. So cute!
Mum seemed to be doing well with plenty of babies to keep her company!
