A Visit from Mandy and Mike

Mandy flew over from Sydney to spend a few days with Mum and Mike was able to come up from Christchurch as well so we had a great few days together.
Hopefully the Berzins won't mind but this photo was in an upload Mandy had in her camera and we don't get many photos from across the ditch.
Also this photo of the Blenheim Moores out for lunch!
I also liked this photo of Mandy by the waterfront in Havelock.
Mike brought his mountain bike with him and we dropped him off out Richmond way for him to find his own way home following the coastline as we girls went shopping for nice things.
This is what happens when you wear a bike helmet- helmet hair!
Mandy and Mike also went for a ride following the Maitai River down to our place. Mandy took my bike and it was pretty cold and dark when they got home- we were about to send out search parties!
Mum was able to be with us for much of the time and enjoyed being part of everything.
I don't usually like being in front of the camera but this photo wasn't too grotesque so thought I would publish it!
I tried to cook healthy meals when not going out for tea. Alan had a whole day off as well so we had three branches of Nana's family all in the same room at the same time.
We had lunch over on the wharf at Mapua and Hamish, the kotuku, was there keeping an eye on the tide. It was wonderful to get so close to such a rare and beautiful wild creature. It was a real treat.

We really enjoyed the visit and the chance to spend a few days together.
