Mum trekked off to the nature shop today and bought me a torch like hers. It is just the thing actually. It has a solar panel, a wind up handle and it can take batteries if all else fails! So it has three sources of energy. So even if you forgot to put it on the window sill to charge up in the daytime you can crank the handle and get 15 minutes of life out of it until you need to wind it on again. Just the thing for if the bird flu strikes and the power goes off because the wee man whose job it is to turn the power on falls off his perch!
