Amy's Winter Visit

Amy arrived for a whirlwind visit from Melbourne and the sun shone on us as I took Friday off work and we had a girls day out. After a spot of serious shopping and a haircut we headed to Venice Cove Restaurant for lunch.

It was a perfect day at the beach and I even got a tiny bit sunburnt as we sat on the balcony eating our groper steaks and vegetable soup.

After that yummy pit stop we went to Tessa Mae's in Mapua for a new handbag and a vanilla slice. On arrival home we had a little nap as we had worn ourselves out. We finished off with tea at Little India. Yum. I love excuses not to cook.

On Saturday we went out to lunch at the Waterfront cafe and then came home for another photo session and farewells before the dash to the airport to see Amy off on her way to Wellington before she heads off back to Melbourne on Sunday.

It was a short visit but we managed to fit in a lot and we always enjoy her company and energy. Amy's visit was an excellent warm up for Mum's 80th birthday.
